Holly has been dancing and tumbling since the age of six. She studied under the direction of Roxanne McDade, Jennifer Vegso, and Stacey Miller (Rita Hoeffler School of Dance). Holly trained in gymnastics at Twiggs and Topps Gymnastic Centers and at the YMCA. She has taught dance and gymnastics for the past 23 years at various studios, including the Ohio School of Dance Arts, Dance Unlimited, the Y.M.C.A. and The Twirling Expedition Show Corp. In 1996, Holly and her twin sister, Heather, celebrated the grand opening of their first dance studio in Waynesville-the Double Image Dance Academy.
The studio changed its name to the Miami Valley Dance Academy in 2004. In August of 2008, Holly opened a second studio in Springboro, Ohio.
Holly is a 1992 graduate of Waynesville High School. She was selected as an “All Star Cheerleader” for the National Cheerleaders Association during her Junior and Senior Year in High School. Holly performed in the Half-Time Show at the Cotton Bowl and was invited to perform in the Macy’s Parade in New York and in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ireland. She has also performed on Costa Rica Cruise Lines.
Holly continued her education at Wright State University where she studied Computer Science. She was also a varsity cheerleader for the Wright State Raiders Boys basketball team.
Holly has choreographed many award winning routines, bringing students to first place finishes at Regional and National Competitions. She takes pride in being selected as a “Top Teacher” at the Showstopper Competition held in Columbus, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. Holly resides in Waynesville and is a proud mother of two children, Candice and Joey.
